Dear all,

By the time you read this, we shall be nearing the end of the first quarter of 2024! Already I have seen many of you at classes and, as ever, take pleasure in watching you grow as both on and off the mat.

This February was especially fruitful for me as a practitioner, as I got to work with my teacher Sarah Durney twice. She taught at Mo Still’s shala in Dunecht, and then the following day at our city centre hub, Love Yoga. To still be practising with Sarah 9 years after I first met her is a wonderful thing; it calls to mind the sanskrit word “parampara” which broadly means the succession of knowledge from one teacher to the next.

In March, we had the pleasure of hosting James Boag for another of his insightful weekend workshops. James has been travelling to Aberdeen for many years to share over two decades of experience with students, but this was the first time we had hosted him in our own home. It was a lovely weekend topped of with a now traditional visit to Rishi’s on George Street.

Speaking of home, Charlie and I have finally bought one of our own! We are due to move April the 15th, ten minutes away from where we are currently renting. Whilst this is incredibly exciting for us, it couldn’t come at a more hectic time, as you will see below!

Away Dates

On April 19-28th, Charlie, Moopy and I will head to Bambury to work with our friend Marque Garaux. Having spent a week with him last year, we were totally sold on his teaching and approach to life; this break will be a real treat, as well as a chance to see our family down south.

On May 4th-10th we then fly off to lead our first international retreat in Italy – some of you reading this will be joining us there!

Because of these trips, plus Easter Holidays, as well as our moving date, certain classes are heavily affected in April

Cancelled throughout April, restarting on April 30th, with no class on May 7th.

I’ve updated the booking system so none of these classes can be booked; if you stick with the booking system it should keep you right!

Wednesday evening, Crathes Hall, 7.2.24. Should this class be earlier…?

Lastly, I am considering making Crathes Wednesday evening classes 30 minutes earlier: 6-7pm.

Please let me know if you really don’t want it to happen/absolutely can’t manage that new time. I want to make sure I’m making the right call for you guys as well, and if you are a regular, your vote will count even more!

Thank you for your continued support and commitment,

Peace

Oli
