I have a new class on the timetable: prepare for “Vinyasa Krama” at Breathing Space Studio! These classes will run every Monday morning 7am from April 7th onwards.
In ”Vinyasa Krama” I’ll lead students through a sequence of postures where movement is linked with breath (vinyasa), built around an overall postural-theme. “Krama” means steps: therefore we will use logical and accessible steps to build up to the peak posture(s) that the classes are structured around. For example, maybe the month’s theme is handstand – that means we will spend most of the time working towards this challenging pose, but in bite-size pieces, breaking it down to its constituent parts.
Every month the class theme will change, and you attending students have a say in what it may become next. You could request a collection of poses (all backbends for example) or one specific posture (like leg behind the head). It will largely be up to you!
Finally, every session will begin with 15-20 minutes of pranayama, an aspect of yoga practice about which I am most passionate.
