Charlie and I are excited to announce our annual weekend workshop in Aberdeen, Scotland on September 27-28th at Love Yoga!
Titled “Just Common Senses”, this year’s theme will centre around the five senses and how they interact with yogic practices. Each module will dive into how sight, smell, hearing, taste and touch informs not only our physical abilities, but also our emotional and cognitive relationship with asana and beyond.
We will explore the following using the prism of our senses:
Saturday 27th 9.30am – 11.30am: Back and Forth. Backbends and forward folds.
Saturday 27th 1pm – 3pm: Round and About. Twists and binds.
Sunday 28th 9.30am – 11.30am: Up and Down. Inversions and Balances.
Sunday 28th 1pm – 3pm: Stop and Start. Dynamic Vinyasas.
Expect the unexpected as we play with music, sights, smells and even foods during the course of the weekend, figuring out how they may affect our body and mind in subtle ways. We hope this workshop may bring newfound sensitivity and awareness to not just your practice on the mat, but also the many tasks and challenges of daily life.
