(I couldn’t find a photo of Charlie and I practicing yoga together and we’re yet to do promo shots, so this one will have to do. It’s us in London in a giant metal beehive. I loved it – she was freezing…)

Charlie and I are really excited to announce that we shall be running our first duo-workshop this September, on the 18th and 19th at Love Yoga Studio. We’re splitting the weekend into 4 distinct chunks:

Saturday 18th, 10:00-12:00 – Heads Down, Feet Up. Here, we shall be digging into the fundamentals of inversions (where the head is lower than the hips) all the way from Downward Dog to Handstand. No matter what your level of experience in this department, you are sure to leave feeling much more confident with you ability to get that head down and those feet up!

Saturday 18th, 13:00-15:00 – Live Lung and Prosper. In this session, we shall be explaining the basic principles of yogic breathing, all the way through to exploration of advanced pranayama. Your breathing is the most important area of your practice; if you want to advance your asana, the breath is the key!

Sunday 19th, 10:00-12:00 – Lubricate Your Balls (and Sockets). Here, we shall be focussing our attention on those complicated ball and socket joints: the hips and the shoulders. So often we treat these areas as mere hinges, ignoring the fact that they are capable of a huge range of motion. Come along and open up!

Sunday 19, 13:00-15:00 – The Art of Self Practice. Ultimately, advancing your yogic journey relies on dedication and diligence. However, you can’t always work with your teachers, and so self-practice becomes vital. Learn how to cultivate a stable home-practice, armed with knowledge that will keep you safe as you grow to practice by yourself. Moreover, if you are an advanced home-practitioner, this session will reveal new areas for you to explore, as well as plenty of hints and tips to keep that routine fresh.

We encourage you to attend the whole weekend as each session will build into the next, with The Art of Self Practice pulling all the previous hours of work together into a cohesive unit. However, if this is not possible, you can pick and choose which parts of the weekend you would like to attend. Prices are as follows:

  • x1 module = £25
  • x2 modules = £45
  • x4 modules = £80

To book, use the following link – it will take you to Charlie’s booking page.

This is the same system as mine so you should be fairly familiar with how it works. However, any questions or glitches (we’re still smoothing the process out) just let me know at charcoalyoga@gmail.com

Also, if you’d prefer not pay online, I can manually book you in and we can arrange a cash/card transaction instead.

Spaces are already filling up so don’t delay…

All are welcome!
